The original inks are by Jim Cheung
I loved the idea of using the broken glass to mute the colors in the background. I didn’t realize until I’d started working on it that the image was split between Peter Parker and Miles Morales, but I was so excited to see it!
I tried creating some texture in the background to break up the space some. I also use one of the ink brushes in CSP to paint the highlights and shadows on the figures instead of a pen or the loop tool. I like how it softened the edges.
More than anything, this was an exercise in thinking about elements of composition as real world items and how one item affects another.
