The original inks are by Ronnie Del Carmen.

I both loved and hated these inks at separate points. I loved them because the line weight and the cleanliness of form is absolutely gorgeous! I was almost at the point of tearing out my hair trying to decipher the three panels at the top of the page; the lack of gutters didn’t leave room to breath.

I had so much fun with this, especially with the posters. I tried to make the colors reflect how Harley sees her dynamic with the Joker. He’s the leading act so he gets the saturated bright colors. Harley is a supporting character so her colors are more muted. This is reinforced by the inks, with Joker’s poster dead center.

I wanted to have the other pinups lead back to Joker. The main colors are muted, with elements of the Joker’s colors included. I tried to reference old comic printing press issues with mis-registering colors on the poster by intentionally applying color outside the lines within the posters.
