Y: The Last Man # 27

We were asked to thumbnail the 22 page issue, then bring 6 sequential pages to the rough pencils stage. Though there were a couple other sections I considered, I couldn’t pass up the excitement of the last two pages!

I was surprised how much I liked working from Brian K. Vaughan’s script; the descriptions were left open to interpretation and the dialogue was easily fit into the panels. Working from somebody else’s script was a great opportunity to think about and illustrate subject material that would have never occurred to me otherwise.
